The ’Old’ tile rooftops, worn white frieze, wooden doors and windows, give the Tropical Refuge an ’old village’ touch, unique in Margarita Island.

Tropical Refuge is located 300 yards away from ’Playa El Agua’. At it’s back you can see the beautiful ’Manzanillo Hill’. The view from wichever point in Tropical Refuge is lovely.
A smooth warm breeze from the sea turns this hotel in one of the most pleasant and cozier spot in Margarita Island.
As well as Playa El Agua, Manzanillo Bay is only 900 yards away, it is another spectacular place on the Island, where twice a week fishermen bring in their fishing nets to the joy of hundreds of pelicans feasting on a huge variety of fish from the gentle Caribbean waters.
The beach in Manzanillo is a great alternative for the tourist, different from Playa El Agua, that with it’s 2 miles of white sands and tall coconut palm trees, is the main attraction in this area.
The Hotel is only 40 minutes away from Aeropuerto Internacional Santiago Mariño and 30 from Porlamar, the commercial city in the Island, wich is one of the most important ’duty free zone’ in the Caribbean.

4 Quintas for 4 people (Each Quinta includes a kingsize bed +1 twin sofa bed) with private garden and solarium.
1 Residence for 6 people comprised of 2 rooms, 1 double y 1 Twin sharing bathroom +1 double with private bathroom.

Bar and Restaurants
For the guest’s enjoyment Tropical Refuge Hotel has two bars and two restaurants.
The main restaurant, ’La Kanoa’ is located in the upper level of the service area, pleasuring a beautiful panoramic view of Playa El Agua and Manzanillo Hill. Always fresh and breezy, it offers a buffet and a bar, as well as a terrace with a view to the sea. This restaurant is usually used for suppers.
The other restaurant is for breakfasts, lunches and bar during the day, is located in front of the main swimming pool.
The Pizzeria-Bar ’Hemingway’, next to the main swimming pool, serves tropical cocktails all day long and has available a small and funny square in front of the store ’El Bodegón’.
The mini-bar ’Coquito’ takes care of guests in the relax swimming pool, Villa’s area.
Services
Available in the hotel is a store called ’El Bodegón’, where guests can buy from a variety of local handicrafts, beach paraphernalia, toiletries, cigarettes, wines and other alcoholic drinks, postcards and many other kinds of merchandise. You can buy photographic films and picture development services in 24 hours, internet and fax service, money exchange, mailbox and phonecards. Rent-a-car, transfers and all of tour services. Also in the hotel, small meeting rooms are available for multiple gatherings.
